What an ECU-safe battery boost means
We use regulated professional jump equipment and manufacturer-approved jump points where available. Correct polarity, visible battery condition and vehicle-specific precautions are checked before connection. This reduces avoidable electrical risk, but it cannot make an already damaged battery or unknown vehicle fault risk-free.
What a jump start can and cannot do
A safe battery boost can provide temporary starting power when the battery charge is too low to crank the engine. It cannot repair a failed battery, alternator, starter motor, immobiliser or wiring fault. If a safe attempt does not work, the vehicle may need diagnosis or recovery arranged separately.
Checks before connection
A leaking, swollen, cracked, frozen or overheated battery must not be jump-started. Keep ignition sources away from the battery area and never attempt work in a live traffic lane.
Information to send
Share the vehicle make and model, registration if known, fuel or vehicle type, what happens when you try to start, exact location and where the vehicle is parked. A live location pin is especially useful in large car parks and unfamiliar areas.
